I've been really wanting to do another real photomanipulation project lately, but have been uninspired, which leads to really crappy half-art that I barely start and never finish. I knew I wanted to do something using a bride, but have been really anti-love lately (horrible, I know, but we all have those times...) and couldn't bring myself to do anything happy.
So last night I was listening to this CD of French music I have (especially "Marseilles" by Patrick Fiori) while browsing stock, and it all came together.

I love how art just seems to materialize when you have given up on anything ever working. I finished the piece this morning, and am just waiting on approval from one of the stock artists before I can post it here. It is possibly my most favourite piece I've done. Maybe. But I think it turned out rather nice.
Hopefully it will be up in the next couple days so y'all can see for yourself. In the meantime, listen to the song (you can find it on Youtube), it's, well, inspiring!
